Yay! Nog maar 7 dagen te gaan voordat het Kerstmis is :). Ik weet niet hoe het met jullie zit, maar ik heb er super veel zin in! Ik ben gek op de gezellige sfeer die rond de kerstperiode in de lucht hangt, de feestelijke outfits die we dragen, al het lekkere eten wat op tafel wordt gezet, en laten we niet vergeten; het geven en krijgen van cadeaus :). Ieder jaar opnieuw ben ik lang van tevoren druk in de weer om leuke en originele cadeaus voor de kerstdagen bij elkaar te zoeken.

Wat het altijd goed doet, bij zowel mannen als vrouwen, zijn beauty- en verzorgingsproducten. Daar kun je er nooit genoeg van hebben, iedereen kan altijd wel een fijn verzorgend product of iets van make-up gebruiken. Nou dacht ik eigenlijk dat ik voor mijn familie inmiddels wel genoeg kerstcadeaus had verzameld, maar ik ben me vorige week tóch weer te buiten gegaan bij Douglas. Ze hebben daar zo’n groot assortiment dat het simpelweg onmogelijk is om er met lege handen weg te gaan. Ik spot altijd wel een mooi of handig product, voor mijzelf of om cadeau te geven. En daarom zat, voordat ik er erg in had, mijn winkelmandje binnen no-time weer vol met allerlei beauty hebbedingetjes ;).

Op de foto zie je een paar van de producten die ik heb gescoord. Er zitten een aantal van mijn all-time favourites bij, zoals de License To Blot stick en de Roller Lash Mascara van Benefit Cosmetics, maar ook een aantal producten die ik nog niet kende, zoals de Ultimate Shine shampoo uit de Douglas Hair collectie, de ‘Spirit of Asia’ body scrub en shower foam uit de Douglas Home Spa collectie en een nail polish corrector pen uit de Douglas Nails, Hands & Feet lijn.

Daarnaast stuitte ik op een blauwe lippenstift van ‘Excellent’ die reageert op de zuurgraad van je lippen. Iedereen die deze lipstick gebruikt krijgt een andere tint roze op de lippen, want niemand heeft precies dezelfde ph waarde. Grappig he?

Ook de 100% natuurlijke konjac sponsen van The Konjac Sponge Company trokken mijn aandacht. Deze sponsen zijn gemaakt van de wortels van de Konnyaku plant, zijn rijk aan mineralen en anti-oxidanten en gaan onzuiverheden te lijf. Er zijn gezichtssponsen voor diverse huidtypes die allemaal een andere werking op de huid hebben. Zo is er o.a. een spons met mineraalrijk kool voor de acne gevoelige huid, en een spons met Franse roze klei voor de vermoeide huid.

Stuk voor stuk leuke cadeaus voor de Kerst, en ook nog eens heel betaalbaar. What else could you wish for?

Ehm, misschien dat je je cadeaus niet zelf hoeft in te pakken…?

Nou, bof jij even! Want Douglas biedt namelijk ook nog een gratis cadeauservice aan. Hoef je niet zelf met linten en cadeaupapier in de weer ;).

Yay! Only 7 more days to go before it’s Christmas :). I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty excited! I love the magical vibe hanging in the air around Christmas time, the sparkling outfits, the delicious food on the wonderfully set tables, and not to mention: giving and receiving Christmas presents :). Each year, long before Christmas, I spend a lot of time looking for nice and original Christmas gifts.

What always scores, with both men and women, are beauty and skin care products. You can never have enough of those kinds of presents, everybody can always use another makeup or skin care product. Last week I was really convinced that I already collected enough Christmas gifts for my family, but then I came across the online store of Douglas. Result: more Christmas gifts ;). Their range is so comprehensive that you simply can’t resist buying something. I always spot something new or handy, for myself or to give away. And so my shopping cart was loaded with all kinds of Beauty essentials before I even knew it ;).

On the flatlay you can see a few of the products I scored. It contains a few of my all-time favourites like the License To Blot stick and the Roller Lash Mascara from Benefit Cosmetics, but there are also some products that are totally new to me, like the Ultimate Shine shampoo from the Douglas Hair collection, the ‘Spirit of Asia’ body scrub and shower foam from the Douglas Home Spa collection and a nail polish corrector pen from the Douglas Nails, Hands & Feet range.

I also came across a blue ‘colour changing’ lipstick that reacts to the pH of your lips. Everyone who puts on this lipstick will get a slightly different ‘personalized’ shade of pink because no one has the same pH. Funny thing right?

Also the 100% natural konjac sponges from The Konjac Sponge Company drew my attention. These super soft sponges are made from the roots of the Konnyaku plant, are rich in minerals and anti-oxidants and battle impurities. There are konjac facial sponges available for different skin types and they all have their own function. For example, there is a bamboo charcoal sponge for acne prone skin and a sponge with French pink clay for dull and tired skin.

One by one lovely gifts for Christmas and also very affordable. What else could you wish for?

Well uh, maybe that you don’t have to wrap all of the gifts yourself…?

Well aren’t you a lucky basterd, because Douglas also offers a free gift wrapping service! So no need to get all stressed out when you run out of ribbons and gift paper. Douglas will take care of it ;).
