Als ik een lange dag heb gewerkt of met mijn dochter in de weer ben geweest en ’s avonds laat eindelijk een uurtje niks te doen heb, dan maak ik daar dankbaar gebruik van door wat “precious me-time” te creëren. Heerlijk tutten met verzorgingsproducten, nieuwe nagellak uitproberen, maskertje op, magazine erbij en geurkaars aan. Even die hersens in een lagere versnelling.

Een product wat ik de laatste tijd veel gebruik tijdens dat ritueel, is het GlamGlow Gravity Mud Peel Off Masker. Ik ben gek op de geur, de textuur en de kleur (metallic chroom) ervan! Het is een liftende en huidverstevigende behandeling die je twee keer in de week kunt gebruiken. Één van de ingrediënten in het masker is, je leest het goed: marshmallow. Van origine werden marshmallows gemaakt van de wortel van de marshmallowplant. En deze plant is verwerkt in de GlamGlow Gravity Mud. Het grappige is dat de geur en textuur ook doet denken aan gesmolten marshmallows :).

Je brengt het masker met het bijgeleverde kwastje aan (niet te dik anders duurt het heel lang voordat hij droogt) en laat hem een minuut of 20 zitten. Als het masker helemaal glad en droog is kun je hem er in één geheel aftrekken. ‘WOW! Zijn dat mijn poriën?!’ denk ik dan altijd. Je ziet na afloop namelijk alle poriën en lijntjes in het masker zitten. Best confronterend ;).

Gelukkig kom ik daarna altijd snel weer van de schrik bij zodra ik aan mijn huid voel en in de spiegel kijk :). Al het vuil en overbodig talg zit namelijk op het metallic velletje wat ik zojuist heb afgepeld en nu klaar is voor de prullenbak.

Wat overblijft is een mooie matte huid die heerlijk zachte en gelift is, en een gezonde roze gloed heeft ♥.

TIP: Houd tijdens het aanbrengen van het masker wat afstand van je haarlijn. Dat scheelt je een hoop gepluk en priegelwerk achteraf!

In the evening, when I finally have an hour to myself after a long day of work, or a long day of taking care of my daughter, I like to create some precious me-time every now and then. Try out new skin care products, do my nails, light a scented candle, enjoy a face mask and kick back with a magazine in my hands.

A product that I’ve been using a lot during that ritual lately, is the GlamGlow Gravity Mud Peel Off Mask. I love its fragrance, texture and colour (metallic chrome)! It’s a lifting and skin firming treatment that you can use two times a week. One of the ingredients, and I’m not lying, is marshmallow. Originally marshmallows were made from the roots of the marshmallow plant. And its this plant that’s been processed in the GlamGlow Gravity Mud. Funny thing is that the smell and texture of the Gravity Mud actually reminds me of melted marshmallows :).

Apply the mask with the supplied mask brush (not too thick because otherwise it will take ages before it’s dry) and leave it on for about 20 minutes. When the mask is fully dry and smooth, you can carefully tear it off. I always think: ‘WOW! are those my pores?!’. Afterwards you can see every fine line, wrinkle and pore printed in the sheet. Pretty confronting I can tell you ;).

Luckily I always recover quickly from my scare when I touch my face and check my skin in the mirror :). Al dirt and sebum are left behind on that thin metallic sheet that I just peeled off and which is now food for the trashcan.

What remains is a beautiful matte skin. Soft, lifted and with a healthy pink glow ♥.

TIP: Stay away from your hairline when applying the mask. This will save you a lot time picking little pieces out of your hair afterwards!
