INTERIOR DIY PROJECT – MAKE A NEW TABLE WITH INDUSTRIAL STEEL HAIRPIN LEGS
INTERIOR Aug 28 2015
Although it didn’t seem to be a difficult DIY project, it still took me two whole months to finish the job thanks to my indecisiveness about the color of the hairpin legs. After three visits to the paint store, a discussion with my husband (who is colorblind, so not a very useful discussion) and input of my followers, I finally bit the bullet and went for this poppy red/orange color. And I must say… not a bad choice after all!
For this table DIY, collect the following material:
- – A table top
- – Screws (4 cm)
- – Hairpin legs (4x)
- – Spray paint
- – An awl
- – A drill
⇒ Step 1. Paint the hairpin legs with the spray paint.
⇒ Step 2. Insert the hairpinlegs at the bottom of the table top and measure them at the same distance from the edges.
⇒ Step 3. Us an awl to make little holes on the spots where the screws will be.
⇒ Step 4. Take the cordless drill and drill the screws through the holes of the hairpin legs and into the the table top.
